The story begins as a group of kids are trying to play soccer when they are harassed by a local Triad boss, Kwan (Ng). Another boss, the kindly Bee, saves them from getting beat up too bad and the kids decide to join him in the Hung Hing Group. Flash-forward ten years and the kids, led by Ho Nam (Cheng) and his right-hand man Chicken (Chan), are quickly moving up the Triad ladder. They spend their days gambling, drinking and harassing women, among them a local hooker named Smartie (Lai) who steals Nam’s car and then later his heart. The “president” of Hung Hing (Yam) decides it’s time for the boys to get serious and sends them to Macao to conduct a deal. During their trip, it becomes apparent that they were set up by someone within Hung Hing. Ho Nam must try to clear his name and avenge his friends.

This film focuses on Chicken (Jordan Chan), flashing back to his exile in Taiwan which is skipped over in the first film. Chan Ho Nam’s “Hung Hing” triad is trying to ally with Chicken’s new group, the “San Luen” triad from Taiwan. Back in Hong Kong, in a contest to obtain the branch leader status of Causeway Bay, Ho Nam faces dilemmas when a rivalry breaks out between him and another “Hung Hing” member - Tai Fei (Anthony Wong).

Young & Dangerous 3 - 1996
The film opens with the hero Ho-nam (Dior Cheng Yee-kin) run afoul of Crow (Roy Chueng Yiu-yeung), the psychotic henchmen of Tung Sing clan boss Camel Lok (Michael Chan Wai-man). When Tung Sing opens a club next to a bar run by Ho-nam’s Hung Hing group, trouble soon ensues. While in Europe, Hung Hing boss Chiang (Simon Yam Tat-wah) gets whacked and Ho-nam gets blamed for the death. Meanwhile, Crow kills his boss and uses the funeral to kill anyone who might challenge his claim to power. Meanwhile, Ho-nam’s friend, Chicken (Jordan Chan Siu-chun), is allowed to return to Hung Hing after a prolonged stint in Taiwan; Ho-nam’s girlfriend, Smartie (Gigi Lai Chi), who was sent into a coma during the first movie, regains consciousness; and Chicken falls in love with foul-mouthed lass Shuk-fan (Karen Mok).

The focus switches back to Chicken in this installment. A leader in the rival Ting Sung society (Cheung) kills one of the Hung Hing boys, which sets up a power struggle between Chicken and Cheung’s protégé Barbarian for control of a key district. Ho Nam, after having numerous loved ones snuffed in the past three movies, tries to talk Chicken out of taking a leadership role, but Chicken thinks it’s his time and ignores him. You probably know what happens next — lots of doub...crosses, tested loyalties and beatdowns galore. Will Chicken become triumphant and become a boss of his own?

When Chicken’s gang decides to form an alliance with their Japanese counterpart, Chicken enters into an arranged marriage with the Japanese leader’s daughter. Everything is going smoothly until the son of the Taiwanese gang’s deceased leader arrives in town with an ulterior motive. It seems the little American-educated tyke (Peter Ho) wants to take over daddy’s old gang and he’s willing to betray and doub...cross everyone who gets in his way. And Chicken happens to be directly in his path.
